  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Rassil -- The search is over : I am happy to say that I can finally put away my old dilapidated Lebanese cookbooks because my search for a Lebanese cookbook is over. Living in the US, I have often struggled to find recipes that work for me and my family, in the quantities that I need, and with the ingredients that are locally available. This is the answer for us. Simple things, like lentil soup, I could never get it just right, and the book nails it. Others, like the broccoli chicken and the sfouf, just excellent. Not only that, I have always been health conscious but it's sort of faded into the background for me. However, this book reminded me that there are healthier and equally delicious alternatives for our day-to-day meals and that's a really valuable attribute to compliment the recipes themselves and something that this book stands out for. The book makes it easier for me to decide on the healthier ingredients when cooking. I like the idea that I can still cook and specially bake the same food I am used to eat with no guilt.
